Born in 1973, Lionel Scoccimaro lives and works in Marseilles, France.
Singled out during the 2003 FIAC in Paris, with his complete series of giant “toppling toys” decorated with symbols of American counterculture, Lionel Scoccimaro generates an environment made of references linking “low culture” to the art world. Since 2001 he’s been working on our “expectations” as to ageing bodies, using nudity, game and a good dose of provocation.
